Blog Assignment: A Block of Type

Where do you live? Where do you travel each day? What are your routines?
What if you stopped and took notice each day of the type around you?
What if you actually decided to choose a very specific location to become a type investigator?

In this third blog assignment, I want each of you to choose a very specific "block"or area in your neighborhood or around your school, or near your workplace and document that very specific block (area) regarding what examples of type you might find. Maybe it is type found on telephone polls, discarded trash, car tags, addresses, manhole covers, etc.
Photograph these and post them on your blog.

Suggestion to start: Go to Google Earth and zoom into a very specific area (a block) and grab a frame of that specific area with an aerial photo and then spend some time at "your" block documenting and examining that location. Give longitude and latitude if possible.
Predictable type and the very unusual type. You'll be amazed at what you find and discover about how you respond to type in a very specific location.
